Grr...

...I really should remember to update this more often! *slaps wrist* It's now 3 days before Christmas, and probably therefore time for an update so that I have a nice clean slate to start from for the new year :)

I've had a very busy week-and-a-bit, which has made a refreshing change after my months of hibernation.
The Saturday before last I was modeling/rope bunnying for Esinem at the Rubber Ball which, despite the small amount of chaos which seemed to surround the event ('can you be a bit more discreet with your bondage please, there are people from the council here' wtf?) and the slight overcrowding at the venue, was very enjoyable. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to pin down some photos of Bruce's lovely rope work from the event to post up here.

I also shot with photographer Nic Marchant earlier this week, and have a couple of pics from that already... more to follow! :)

This was followed the next day by a shoot with Rod Macdonald. We did some cool "corset piercing" type stuff with surgical staples... here's just the one preview shot from that: again, more to follow:

I also recieved a few more images today from an outdoor suspension shoot with Rod and Boykitten (who was much better at making really dynamic shapes in mid air than me) back in June: here are a few of those;

I also finally (we've been in the talking stage for forever) shot with Stefano Brunesci. It's quite unusual for me to do anything this 'fashiony' but I will definitely try to do a bit more in the new year! There are literally loads of these images and I'm having a very tough time deciding on which to use (mind you 3.15am is probably not the best time to be doing so)... here are just a couple... straight from camera, completely unretouched and staying that way :)

There's probably quite a bit more I could be writing here... however I'm soo sleepy that updates on publications and arty stuff will have to wait... Must get zzz's now... mmm...

One of those pointless web space filling posts...

...just incase the internet hasn't got enough crap on it already.

Yesterday was one of those days where things seem to go almost comically wrong. I had a phone call from Rosco in the evening to say he'd broken down outside my house... after an interesting hour or so spent not managing to fix the van, we hopped (the most appropriate term) back to Derby Road in it, where Rosco somehow managed to leave his phone and keys on the kitchen table, and then post mine through the letterbox as he was locking up... result: locked out of every house within walking distance. Luckily we managed to find dad and Chris with some keys in Elephant. Got pizza (*happy*) and attempted to watch 'Dead Man' on a laptop with no battery... and all was well.

I then had another sleepless night, pondering the non-existence of God and thus the hopelessness and futility of everything on the planet, blah blah etc... of all the things that could pop into your head on a Thursday night? Surely that is meant to be the sort of thing that you get over worrying about fairly early on... generally in mid to late teenage angst stage? Now of course I find myself sat at home alone, smoking far too much and getting increasingly angry at inanimate objects and people I don't know. May really be hermit time soon methinks.

Photos below taken as I helped dad attempt to cheer up Ross's less than happy van earlier today, without waking the two year old in the nearby flat, or being able to agree on the number of millimeters in an inch.

"The writing's on the wall... behind the two girls with the goat"

The quote above is from a film I saw the other night, which I thought was worth a mention here just in case anyone's stuck on things to watch.  'Fay Grim' by Hal Hartley.  I was a little dubious about watching this film as it was a sequel to 'Henry Fool' (which I loved so much) and in theory it did sound a little like one of those sequels... you all know the ones I mean so I won't spoil the plot here by explaining.  However I will say that I recommend it as much as the first film... somehow, the idea of taking a few characters from one film and putting them into the most improbable situation which appears to bear very little relevance to the first film actually worked... and to the point where I didn't find myself questioning the obscurity once.  Genius!

In other news, I've finally got around to reworking my website after I found out that it had a nasty virus in the code... the result of some dodgy ftp software I think.  It wasn't too much of an annoyance as, lets face it, who wants a purple website anyway.  It's now all shiny and new and very nearly online properly.  Just a few tweaks to be made here and there.

I've also found a new flatmate, who should be moving in sometime in the next month, yay.  It's all a bit of an upheaval and I'm finding myself very tired and stressed most of the time, but hopefully I'll soon be settled again and I can concentrate on actually doing something productive.

Also, here are a couple of new images from a shoot with Simon 'ShadowShow' a couple of weeks ago.

Father, my Father...

"You reckon I'm a mess, but I know more geography than you'll ever know."

"I love you two very much, but you're both thick as shit."

"Hannah, this is very important... I've got it! No wait, I haven't. Oh fuck."
"Daisy, you don't even know where fuckin' Ireland is... but I think you know where Hannah is."

etc. etc.

Self portraits...

...taken at home the day after I had my braces taken off. I still miss them quite a lot.

I'd had a sleepless night (again) and took these at about 8am after giving up entirely on going to bed. I wasn't a happy bunny, but thought I'd attempt something like a smile in one or two. I'm quite pleased with the lack of photoshop in any of them (except the b&w conversion obviously).
